YMCA Welcoming Week: September 9-18

We believe our communities are stronger when everyone feels welcome and we work together for the common good. Created by YMCA of the USA's national partner Welcoming America, Welcoming Week, which takes place each year in September, celebrates the growing movement of communities that fully embrace newcomer immigrants. It's a chance for neighbors - both immigrants and U.S.-born residents - to get to know one another and celebrate what unites us as a community!

While Welcoming Week will look different this year in light of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic, this opportunity to bring neighbors together in a spirit of unity remains critically important as we seek to build bridges and heal communities suffering from the effects of systemic racism and discrimination.

Check below for all of this year's ways to celebrate Welcoming Week!

WELCOMING WEEK: SEPTEMBER 9-18, 2022:

We invite our community to the Y to celebrate the power of inclusion and coming together for good! Welcoming Week promotes cross-cultural understanding and community cohesion by bringing together immigrants and U.S.-born residents in a spirit of unity.
