Childwatch
Childwatch policies:
- Reservations are NOT required.
- Member children aged 3 months-9 years.
- Childwatch may be utilized for a maximum of 2 hours per day.
- Shoes must be worn in Childwatch at all times on children that are walking.
- We follow American Academy of Pediatrics safe sleep guidelines regarding car seats and strollers. We do not allow infants to sleep in these items while in our care.
- No outside items may be brought into Childwatch, including beverages & snacks. Water is acceptable. Diaper bags, strollers and other childcare items may be stored while parents are using the facilities, but no items can be removed from them.
- YMCA staff will not change diapers. If your child needs a diaper change, you will be contacted.
- YMCA staff will increase sanitize toys and other objects, especially between use by different children.
We offer YMCA Childwatch because we understand parenting is a busy, full-time job. With our free drop-in care for family memberships, parents can make use of the Y and make time to take care of themselves. Your child can explore, play and make new friends all while you’re getting your workout in. It’s a win-win!

Parents must remain in the building while their child(ren) are in Childwatch. Limit of 120 minutes per day. Both the parent/guardian and child must be members of the Y to utilize free drop-in care.
*Non-members may use the YMCA Childwatch for a small fee per day/child. We reserve the right to close up to 30 minutes early due to no attendance and change hours of operation at any time.
The YMCA of Greater Omaha is committed to serving families at all times. We offer care services on weekend nights to members for free for school-aged children, so parents can enjoy the occasional night out while their children are in safe hands. Kids can enjoy organized activities that will give them a place to shine and have fun.
Parents’ Night Out is FREE to YMCA of Greater Omaha members but space is limited. Registration begins the 15th of the month prior and remains open until full.
