FITNESS AT THE Y

Exercise is the first step to healthy living. Here at the Y, we understand getting regular exercise can be tough, especially with all the demands of work, kids, and life. At the YMCA of Greater Omaha, we offer a number of ways to include exercise into your regular schedule, allowing you to come in, get fit, have fun, and go back to your busy day.

At the Y, you can try out a group exercise class (free to members!) or dive into the pool for an aquatics class. Our personal trainers can get you on the right track with one-on-one or small group sessions. Our active older adults find community both in the gym and through social events. The family can shoot hoops at open gym. And you can bring the kids in for free childwatch while you work out.

SMALL GROUP TRAINING

Stay motivated & work out with your friends! Small group training combines the dedication of a Personal Trainer with the fun & accountability of getting fit with a group. All fitness levels are welcome. GROUP FITNESS CLASSES

At the Y, we believe in helping people of all fitness levels & abilities find their best way to maintain a healthy exercise routine. As a member of the Y, all our Group Fitness classes are included with your membership! You can find the perfect class for you including Zumba, aqua classes, HIIT, yoga, low impact and many more. We offer over 610 classes per week across our 10 metro locations! If you're not sure where to start, our Welcome Center & Wellness Coaches are here to steer you in the right direction. YOUTH FITNESS TRAINING

Youth members (ages 10-14 years) who are interested in keeping themselves fit & healthy by using equipment on the wellness floor can participate in a Youth Fitness Training class, for a small fee, to become wellness floor certified. Participants will learn safety & proper technique on equipment, as well as a discussion of character development, weight room etiquette and basic nutrition in a class led by our personal trainers. Parents do not need to be present for the class. Sign up at any Welcome Center!
